Hope-filled Truth for a Triumphant New Year
In Romans 8:31-35, Paul raises seven questions about every influence possible that might obstruct the believer's confident, hope-filled assurance of present preservation and future glory. These challenges, in the form of questions, give rise to three fundamental, hope-filled reasons why in this new year, neither "things present nor things to come" (v. 38b) can prevent any Christian from being "more than conqueror through him that loved us" (v. 37).
