Tonight's text is one that most commonly thought of on special occasions like today - Valentine's Day. It is often referred to as being part "the Love chapter." But I want us to take a closer look at the famous text with two goals in mind: 1) Obtain a deeper appreciation for God's character trait of love and the expression of that love, 2) Thereby better imitate our Father in the expression of that love.

From Hopelessness to Hope

Synopsis: When we encounter those feelings of discouragement and struggle with feelings of hopelessness, what should we do? Jeremiah found himself in a very difficult time of life and struggled with hopelessness. In Lamentations 3, he testifies of his journey from hopelessness to hope. If we can identify with him at the beginning of that journey, then there is hope for us that we can end up with the hope he had.

The Hope of God's Personal Guidance, Part1
