God Is Still on the Throne
It is very easy to get agitated or anxious with all the instability and insecurity due to what is happening in our nation right now--especially with all the shenanigans related to the national elections. At the same time there is much uncertainty as to what all this means for the future of our nation and for us as individuals if a particular candidate becomes president and enforces progressive policies which will bring regressive results (See Jeremiah 7:24). During these uncertain days, it is good for us to remember our God is still on His throne and sovereignly at work to accomplish His redemptive purposes -- all for His own glory. He is in control so that means we don't have to be and so therefore we can rest in His care and experience His peace.
Tonight's message is geared towards fortifying our hearts and minds and reminding us of the foundational truths upon which we can build our lives.
