Based upon what John said in his first epistle (2:19), it should not surprise us that false teachers/deceivers will use the same methods and terminology that Christ used and commands His disciples to use. Even as Christ issued a great commission to His disciples, so the Devil has his agents on special assignment as well. Their commitment to their mission is obvious.

There are also two key identifying markers regarding their confession that each believer must take note of if they are to correctly Deal with Deceivers.
