The apostle John uses the language of certainty and confidence and the language of evidence to encourage his readers they can have a "know-so" salvation instead of a "hope-so" salvation. Today we look at evidences that function as sign posts along the interstate reassuring us we are born again, that we have fellowship with God. And yet at the same time we understand that these evidences are never the foundation upon which our hope of salvation rests.
