Celebrating as Mary Did

Scripture:

Speaker: Pastor Miguel Betancourt II

Series: Christmas Celebrations

Synopsis: Mary celebrates the coming arrival of Christ to earth by reflecting upon God's person and work in a hymn of praise known as "The Magnificat." If we are to celebrate Christ's coming to Bethlehem as Mary did, our celebration needs to be patterned after hers.

Celebrating as the Magi Did

Scripture:

Speaker: Pastor Miguel Betancourt II

Synopsis: Tradition and time have embellished much of the events surrounding Christ's arrival to earth, His birth in Bethlehem. We can know the same joy when we take the note of the cause for their celebration and the manner in which they celebrated the arrival of Christ.

What Gift for God?

Scripture:

Speaker: Pastor Miguel Betancourt II

Series: Christmas Celebrations

Synopsis: This past Friday we celebrated Christ's birth and exchanged Christmas gifts with loved ones. The idea of gift giving brings two thought-provoking questions to mind: 1) Have you ever considered a gift exchange with God? 2) What have you given to God to express your love and gratitude for His gifts to you? The psalmist seems to be thinking along the same lines with his question in Psalm 116:12. Using the acronym "S.T.O.P.", let's take some time to stop and consider what gift we should give to God in return to His many benefits to us.
