Synopsis: Why do church shootings take place? Why the mass murderers from gunmen or others? What solutions does God give to the problem of pain and suffering? This message is part 1 of 2 to address this issue from God's Word.
Synopsis: Part 1 dealt with the basic problem that explains why tragedies such as church shootings take place. This message gives five additional biblical truths to help us counsel ourselves and others who experience hardships and loss.
Synopsis: In our text today, we are introduced to three generations of Jews - each one having a different response to God; each one shaped by a particular influence to respond they way they did--God's or society's. God's plan is for parents to influence their children so they bear God's imprint rather than society's.
Synopsis: In today's message we look at the 2nd of 4 instructions God gave to Israel to help them guide the next generation for God. If we want our children to live as Joshua lived and influence their children towards a growing, personal relationship with God, they must be taught to do what parents should already be doing.
Synopsis: The old saying goes, "When all else fails, read the directions." Although there are no printed instructions that come with children when they are born, when it comes to the matter of being the right kind of parent to influence/guide the next generation for God, we are not left helpless and hopeless to try to figure out what to do! God's Word gives us the instruction we need!
This message covers the 4th and final instruction with some practical applications to help us guide the next generation for God.
